For families

Could this be
your next home?

Moving a parent into care is one of the most tender and difficult things a family does together. We do not take that lightly — and we will not rush you through it.

There is no obligation, no sales process. We invite you to spend time in one of our homes — share a meal, meet the residents and staff, feel the pace of the place.
For families

The journey
into Camino House

I
A first conversation
Tell us about your parent — who they are, what they love, what worries you. This is not an intake form. It is a conversation, and it shapes everything that follows.
II
Holistic care
You and your parent are welcome to visit together. We find it matters enormously that they feel the space themselves — not just hear about it second-hand.
III
Moving in, gently
We take time with arrivals. The first weeks are about settling, not performing. Our team will be close, and we will keep you informed without overwhelming you.
"We are deeply grateful for Camino House for its 360° care of its residents in their social, emotional and medical needs, so that it has been almost worry-free for the family."

HOW WE CARE

Who this
home is for

Assisted living is not for everyone. Camino House works best for people who are independent in thinking but need practical support with daily tasks, mobility, or medication management. You should be able to live alongside others without significant conflict, and your care needs should be manageable by trained caregiving staff—not medical professionals. We're honest if this isn't the right fit, and we'll help you find one that is.
HOW WE CARE

Independence,
supported.

We're not a nursing home, and we don't believe in fixed routines or overhelping our residents. Instead, we preserve independence through supported self-initiative. You can wander into the streets, join a yoga class, visit the kopitiam, pursue what matters to you. We see our role as companionship in living your best life, not substitution of your agency. True care means trusting you with both dignity and risk.
HOW WE CARE

Clinical Care
for ageing in place.

You're supported by weekly nurse visits and partnerships with neighbourhood GPs and geriatricians—you can continue seeing your current doctor or work with our partners. Our Care Staff collaborate with your healthcare providers to ensure everyone's on the same page about your care plan. Medical needs are met locally, within the neighbourhood, so you're not shuttled into hospitals unless genuinely necessary. The aim is ageing in place, staying well and rooted where you belong.

Staying connected

You remain
part of this.

Families are not visitors here. You are part of the household. Drop in for meals, join our seasonal gatherings, or simply sit with your parent in the social club. The door is open.
We will reach out when there is something you should know — and we will not call you only when there is a problem. Good news travels too.
Common questions

Things families
often ask us

Can my parent visit before deciding to move in?

Yes — we encourage it. We want your parent to feel the house themselves, not just hear about it from you. A visit with no obligation is always possible.

Can family members visit whenever they like?

Yes. There are no fixed visiting hours at Camino House. Families are part of the household — you are welcome to drop in, join for meals, or simply be with your parent.

What happens when a resident's care needs increase?

We review care needs regularly and adjust accordingly. In cases where needs exceed what we can safely provide, we will be honest with you and help you find the right next step.

Is Camino House regulated by MOH?

Camino House is not a licensed nursing home. We operate under the Agency for Integrated Care's (AIC) Stay-in Shared Caregiving Scheme, a framework designed for community-based, home-like care settings in Singapore. This shapes how we're structured and overseen, and we're happy to explain exactly what that means for your family.

What is Joo Chiat Social Club?

Joo Chiat Social Club is the community space woven into daily life at our Joo Chiat home — open to the wider neighbourhood, welcoming children, young volunteers, and visiting seniors. Every Camino House has its own version of this space; each one carries a different name and character, shaped by its neighbourhood.
